Jensen graduated as Cand. Polit. in 1975 at the University of Oslo, and as PhD at the University of Oslo on: Fertility - between Passion and Utility. The value of children and demographic changes. Work in particular on childhood and family sociology, demography, with interests in international perspectives including poor countries. Field works in Kenya and Latin-America. Presently engaged in international studies on children’s welfare.
