Rune Halvorsen

dr. polit., Post. Doc. Fellow

Rune Halvorsen graduated as cand.polit. (sociology) from the University of Oslo in 1995 and received his doctoral degree (dr. polit. in sociology) from NTNU in 2002. His research interests include comparative welfare policy, analysis of social movement mobilisation and coping strategies among disabled people, ethnic minorities and social security claimants in Western Europe . To an increasing degree he has focused on the relationship between the European Union, the member states and the EEA countries in social policy areas. He has been a visiting scholar at Maison Suger in Paris og Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Ange Guépin in Nantes.
